We Are NOT Your Average Church
We are a Pentecostal, Word of Faith church that sees the power of God on a regular basis. We see people saved, healed, prospered, and set free all of the time.
We are hungry to see God’s normal in our lives. However, in order to see the power of God, we must challenge our corrupted flesh’s nature. We don’t settle for being average. We actively chase after the things of God, which can feel uncomfortable to the corrupted flesh (Heb. 12:11).
Because of that, people often fall into one of three categories:
- They love us
- They hate us
- They don’t know what to think about us
We understand each position, BUT for those who hunger for the things of God, humble themselves to His Word, ask questions, and stand strong, their life goes up! The vast majority learn to find their joy again and really live for Christ!

Meet Our Pastors
Pastors Bryan & Nicole Wright
Founders & Senior Pastors
Bryan and Nicole Wright are the founders and senior pastors of Boomerang Church. Bryan and Nicole married in 1999 and have two daughters and a son who are actively serving the Lord.
Bryan & Nicole also founded Boomerang International, a growing resource center for the body of Christ with online tools, teachings, & a daily live broadcast called “Lunch+”.
Through Boomerang Church, their Boomerang International resources, live streaming, radio and tv networks, and podcasts, Bryan & Nicole are consistently equipping the saints to grow into the full stature of Christ for the work of the ministry to advance the kingdom of God!
Bryan & Nicole were heavily impacted by the full gospel message and have a dedication and devotion for training up and empowering people around the world with manifestations of the supernatural fruit of Jesus Christ!
Pastor Mark & Amie Pressley
Campus Pastor, Boomerang Church Albemarle
Pastor Mark Pressley serves as Campus Pastor of Boomerang Church Albemarle, alongside his wife, Amie. They’re local to Albemarle. This is the community they call home.
Long before they carried the title of pastor, they were carrying a heart for the people of Albemarle. For years, Mark and Amie led a Life Group, opening their home and their lives to walk alongside others through the real, everyday stuff of following Jesus. They carry a genuine, compassionate heart for people that shows up in every conversation you have with them.
Newly installed in this role, Pastor Mark and Amie bring the same heart to Boomerang Church Albemarle that they brought to their living room for years: you’re not a face in the crowd, you’re someone they genuinely want to know and serve.
What We Believe
The Scripture is Inspired
The Holy Bible, in its entirety, is the only infallible authoritative Word of God and rule of faith and conduct, inspired by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
The Godhead
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Philippians 2:6; Matthew 3:16-17)
The Deity of Our Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His vicarious, atoning death and bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule and reign. (1 Timothy 3:16; Romans 3:25-26)
Salvation
The only means of being cleansed from sin and being born again is through calling on the Name of the Lord, confessing with your mouth Jesus Christ as Lord, and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Repentance from sin is an expected result of true belief. (Romans 10:9-10, 13)
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation. We further believe in the keeping power of the Holy Spirit as our seal. (Titus 3:4-6; Ephesians 1:13-14)
Divine Healing
The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to faithful prayer of the righteous. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-15)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Lord Jesus Christ baptizes regenerated believers in the Holy Spirit with the eventual evidence of speaking in tongues. This baptism is distinct from salvation and is an empowering work of the Spirit, enabling believers to be led by the Spirit in all circumstances, walk in the fruit of the Spirit, and operate in the gifts of the Spirit. (Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6; Galatians 5:22-23)
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
All nine gifts of the Spirit as listed in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 continue to be expressed in the church today, subject to the order prescribed by Scripture.
The Resurrection of the Dead
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—the saved to everlasting life, and the lost to everlasting damnation. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Where did you get the name "Boomerang"?
In prayer before we founded the ministry, we felt the Lord very clearly gave us that name. We sought to be obedient, even though we knew it was different! We have always seen it as a picture of the Body of Christ: Each week, through Christ, our ministry empowers the individual believer to go out and do the work of the Kingdom, like a person empowering a boomerang to be sent out. If thrown correctly, it disperses energy along its course and lands right back in the hands of the body, ready to be equipped and sent out again.
What denomination is Boomerang Church?
We are a non-denominational (or interdenominational) Pentecostal, Word of Faith church, utilizing the full counsel of the Word of God as our standard.
What time are services on Sunday?

What if I see something I've never seen in church before?
We won’t sugar-coat it. We’re a charismatic church, and we believe in the dynamic, active power of God. So don’t be surprised if you see people laughing in the joy of the Holy Ghost, falling down when someone prays for them, speaking in tongues, prophesying, or even running. It might be new to you, but it’s not random or out of order. Everything you see has clear biblical backing, and we’d rather show you than just tell you. Anybody is welcome to ask questions if they see anything they don’t understand.
Do the other churches just livestream Albemarle?
No. Every Boomerang church has its own pastor, worship and service flow, built for its own community.
How are the churches connected?
All of them are part of Boomerang International and share the same vision and values.
